Descripción
RPG que nos muestra un denso y rico mundo para explorar, basado en la mitología nórdica.
Con un planteamiento similar a títulos como Diablo o Gauntlet, deberemos dar buena cuenta de las hordas de enemigos que se cruzarán en nuestro camino, usando una gran variedad de hechizos, que se podrán combinar entre ellos para provocar distintas reacciones. El punto fuerte del juego es el multijugador para hasta cuatro personas en un mismo equipo.

Argumento
Magicka es un juego de acción y aventura que se desarrolla en el mundo fantástico de Midgård, donde reina la magia elemental, los trolls y los goblins son completamente inofensivos (bueno, quizás no “completamente”…) y los habitantes son unos graciosillos sabelotodo.
La historia comienza en medio de una gran crisis, y una misión urgente recae en vosotros, magos de la Orden de Magick. ¡Parece que la capital Hávindr está sitiada! Así que, lamentablemente, debéis abandonar el confort de vuestro castillo, repleto dedeliciosas salchichas y sofisticados quesos, y apresuraros a ayudar al Rey.
En vuestros viajes deberéis abriros camino luchando a través de 13 niveles, cada uno más difícil que el anterior. Deberéis recurrir a la ayuda de hechizos mágicos, elaborados libremente a partir de los ocho elementos. A medida que avanzáis, aprenderéis el refinado arte de aniquilar a vuestros enemigos con los extraordinarios poderes de los antiguos Magicks.
Por si fuera poco, también podréis poner a prueba vuestra habilidad en los diversos modos de desafío.
¡Pero basta de palabras! ¡Ha llegado el momento de desempolvar tu túnica!

Known Issues

  • Beam spells merging sometimes crashes game with stack overflow (for real)
  • Self-shields sometimes get out of sync
  • Players are still able to have too many summons (Changed because of community feedback)
  • Server list sorting not implemented
  • Network congestion on high ping (>400ms) connections still problematic.
  • Game stutters slightly on some systems despite good performance (cause known, fix pending)
  • Steam attempts to install XNA framework every time game is launched or rare occasion
  • Game sometimes hogs uplink bandwidth – (Being researched)
  • “Too fancy for fireballs” achievement is sometimes not awarded
  • Quitting the game while the credits are rolling will not award a game complete.
  • Mouse outside screen in full screen with multiple monitors will minimize the game.
